Audio
Trouble-Shooting:
If you aren't
hearing the audio
when the window
opens, follow these
steps
to (hopefully) solve the problem:
For
all:
1. Have you downloaded QuickTime?
If so...
2. Check to see that your Sound
is not on "mute"
3. Scroll down the window
of the browser so that the audio control bar is visible.
You should see a QuickTime
icon, which means the file is loading.
4. If you don't see the icon then follow the instructions below.
Still
no audio? Then....
For Internet Explorer:
1. Click Explorer
and then Preferences.
2. Open the folder named File Helpers (see image
below).
3. Scroll
down the a window, until you see the AIFF Audio
application.
4. Highlight the application (click on it).
5. Click the Change button
in the command box.
6. You will be given the option to Browse for the
QuickTime Plug-in on your harddrive.
7. After you have chosen the application, click OK.
For
Netscape:
1. Under the
Edit menu, select
Preferences
2. In the Preferences
window, open the Navigator
folder and select Applications.
3. Scroll down
the a window, until you see the AIFF Audio
application.
If
the QuickTime Plug-in
is not selected for AIFF Audio,
follow these
steps to correct the problem.
1. Click Edit.
2. In the Edit
Type window, choose the QuickTime
Plug-in.
3. This should
solve the problem.
You may have to Quit Netscape and
re-open
the program for the new preferences
to install.
