2. The History behind this Project.


 
For close to twenty years, students from Chubu University (Nagoya, Japan) have been coming to Ohio University (Athens, Ohio, USA) to study and travel for 15 weeks.

The students continue their academic studies immersed in English-only classrooms.
The students also take a Fluency class to strengthen their ESL skills. 

This web site is the result
of an assignment performed by the students in Fluency Level 2
(low-intermediate)
April - June 2000.

 Topic: The Environment
Assignment: Search for websites with audio pieces
Goal: improve aural skills

Overview of Activity:

  • Review the web site.
  • Present the web site in class.
  • Place the review on the
      internet as a resource for
      other ESL students.
